CBI Raid: Foreign funding case — CBI raids AAP leader Durgesh Pathak’s residence in Delhi

In a major development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former MLA Durgesh Pathak in connection with alleged violations of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). According to sources, the CBI registered the case just a day earlier and conducted the raid early this morning following inputs of suspicious foreign funding linked to Pathak.Officials from the CBI are currently present inside Pathak’s residence, and an ongoing questioning session is underway. Preliminary information suggests that funds received from abroad were allegedly misused, leading to potential FCRA violations. No official statement has yet been released by Pathak or his team, despite attempts by the media to get a comment.Political tensions have escalated following the raid, with AAP leaders accusing the BJP-led central government of using investigative agencies to intimidate opposition leaders. They claim that the raid is politically motivated, especially as Durgesh Pathak was recently assigned to strengthen AAP’s organization in Gujarat. The matter remains under investigation, and the CBI is expected to continue its search operation throughout the day to gather more evidence.
