Breaking News: India Responds Strongly to Trump’s Tariff Threat Over Russian Oil Trade | ABP NEWS

India has issued a strong response to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to impose higher tariffs over India's continued oil trade with Russia. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that decisions will be made based on national interest and economic security. In a clear rebuttal, the MEA pointed out the hypocrisy of nations criticizing India while continuing their own trade with Russia. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking at an international forum, emphasized the need for a fair and representative global order, not one dominated by a select few. He highlighted that the world is navigating complicated and uncertain times, and India will act in line with its sovereign priorities.
