Breaking News: Broken Glass Cleared from Shahdara’s Kanwar Route After Public Alert | ABP NEWS

In Delhi’s Shahdara area, broken glass was found scattered along the Kanwar Yatra route, specifically between Chintamani Chowk and Shahdara Flyover. The sharp debris posed a serious threat to Kanwariyas and daily commuters. After the issue was raised by the local BJP MLA, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Police were informed and acted swiftly. Ground reports by correspondent Divyankar Tiwari confirm that the glass has been completely removed. The route, which is part of the sacred journey for Kanwar pilgrims, is now fully cleaned and safe. Visuals from the site show MCD workers actively involved in the clean-up, ensuring no harm comes to devotees walking barefoot. Residents appreciated the timely action but urged authorities to stay vigilant during the ongoing Yatra season. The incident highlights the importance of real-time response to public safety concerns, especially on religious routes during major festivals.
