Bihar: EAM Jaishankar And CM Nitish Kumar Join PM Modi For Nalanda University Inauguration Ceremony | ABP News
Modi visited Bihar to inaugurate a new campus of Nalanda University, which was reopened in 2014 as an endeavor supported by several countries. This new campus is close to the site of the ancient ruins of Nalanda. The inauguration on Wednesday was attended by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and ambassadors from 17 nations. The new university started functioning in 2014 from a makeshift location with 14 students.
The university offers 137 scholarships to international students and has six schools, including the School of Buddhist Studies, Philosophy & Comparative Religions, the School of Historical Studies, the School of Ecology and Environmental Studies, and the School of Sustainable Development and Management.
