If multiple complaints or verified reports of malpractice, rigging, or disruption emerge from several booths within a single assembly constituency, the Commission may consider withholding the results of that constituency entirely and conducting a fresh vote. In addition, officials have reportedly identified reserve dates for potential re-polling after the first and second phases of elections in West Bengal. These backup schedules are intended to ensure that any unexpected disruptions can be addressed without delaying the overall electoral process. Election authorities have emphasized that these steps are part of a broader effort to strengthen voter confidence and ensure completely free, fair, and transparent elections.
