Bangladesh Crisis: Protests Escalate, Hindus Demand Justice Amid Rising Attacks | ABP News

In Bangladesh, violent protests that once forced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee have now led to the formation of a new interim government in Dhaka. Despite this, demonstrations continue unabated, with reports highlighting an alarming increase in attacks against Hindus. Since August 5, there have been 205 incidents targeting Hindus across 52 districts, including assaults on shops, homes, and temples. In response, Hindus have united in protest, with hundreds gathering at Shahbagh Square in Dhaka for a two-hour demonstration demanding justice and an end to the violence. Protesters formed human chains and called for a special tribunal to address attacks on minorities, the establishment of a minority protection commission, and stringent laws to prevent future assaults. Meanwhile, over 50 prominent Indian writers and lawyers have written to the government, urging action to stop the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, expressing deep concern over the worsening situation and the targeted attacks on religious sites.
