As the Amarnath Yatra proceeds, another batch of pilgrims departed from Pantha Chowk, Srinagar for Baltal and Pahalgam routes amid high security on July 13. It involves a challenging trek through the Himalayas to reach the cave, where an ice stalagmite forms a natural lingam, representing Lord Shiva. The yatra attracts thousands of devotees each year, with stringent security measures in place due to the region's sensitive geopolitical situation.
