IPL 2025 Prize Money For Winners And Runners-Up

The winning team of IPL 2025 will reportedly receive ₹20 crore - the same amount awarded since 2022.

As IPL 2025 approaches its climax with the final between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, fans are eager to know the prize money at stake.

IPL 2025 Prize Money Details

The winning team of IPL 2025 will reportedly receive ₹20 crore - the same amount awarded since 2022.

The runners-up will take home ₹12.5 crore. To put this in perspective, the first IPL season winner, Rajasthan Royals, earned ₹4.8 crore, while the runners-up, Chennai Super Kings, got ₹2.4 crore. This shows a more than fourfold increase in prize money over the years.

Earnings for Playoff Teams

Teams who reached the playoffs also receive substantial rewards:

Team eliminated in the Eliminator stage (Gujarat Titans) get ₹6.5 crore.

Team knocked out in Qualifier 2 (Mumbai Indians) receive ₹7 crore.

There is also a Fair Play award given to the team showing the best spirit on the field.

Individual Awards with ₹10 Lakh Prize

Top performers are recognized with individual awards, each carrying a prize of ₹10 lakh:

Orange Cap for the highest run-scorer

Purple Cap for the highest wicket-taker

Emerging Player for the best young talent of the season
