76th Republic Day: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Hoists National Flag in Mumbai

On the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat hoisted the tricolor in Mumbai, marking the celebration with patriotic fervor. The nation gears up for grand celebrations, with the main event at Kartavya Path in New Delhi featuring a theme of “75 Years of the Constitution.” Special tableaux and cultural performances are set to highlight the historic journey of India’s democracy.Security in the capital has been tightened, with over 15,000 police personnel, 70 paramilitary units, and 500 AI-enabled cameras ensuring safety. Traffic restrictions and drone surveillance are in place to maintain order.Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized unity and collective progress during an interaction with NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and tableau artists. The day began with a tribute at the National War Memorial and will honor 942 brave personnel with gallantry and service awards for their contributions in challenging regions like Jammu & Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxal-affected areas.
