Gulmarg thronged by tourists on New Year's eve despite freezing temperature
Tourists thronged the hill station of Gulmarg in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir in large numbers from different corners of the country to enjoy the snow and the breath-taking view of the hill station, on New year's eve. They could be seen enjoying the adventure sport of skiing, braving the chilling weather.
Gulmarg recorded a temperature of minus 7.8 degrees at night while as in Pahalgam the temperature was minus 10. 2 degrees. Drass in the Union Territory of Ladakh was freezing as the mercury dipped to minus 28.8 degrees Celsius.
