A video of a Greater Noida township residents involved in a heated argument over a dog being taken inside the building elevator of a society has gone viral on the internet. The argument started after a child present inside the lift of one of the buildings was scared of the dog, despite the canine being muzzled, and wanted to use the elevator without the dog in it. However, the pet owner refused and instead asked the boy to leave if he was scared of the muzzled canine.

In the clip shared on the microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, a security guard can be seen confronting the pet owner as he tries to enter the lift with his German Shephard dog. The guard asks the man to let the boy go first but the pooch owner argues the he was following all rules laid down by the Noida Authority and points to the muzzle and leash.

"Gaur City 7th Avenue: A poor child was already in the lift and was crying due to fear of the dog, but the dog owner's brother was adamant that he would go in the same lift because his dog was wearing a muzzle," read the caption of the video shared by user @GreaterNoidaW.

Since being shared the clip has amassed more than 6 lakh views and tons of comments.

"This is cruel behavior on the part of the dog owner. A kid's concern is more important than the dog owner's pride," commented one user on the post.

"Humanity is dying everyday, people are not ready to understand the situation of others, kid was weeping and he is still trying to enter the lift, why can't he wait until lift returns back," wrote another user.

While a third wrote, "When the dog is wearing a muzzle and is under control with its owner, then why is this woman forcefully creating ruckus? taking advantage of being a woman. One should have compassion and love towards animals. A lesson should be taught by filing an FIR against the woman."
