Cassy Pereira's Verdict: Tasting Idlis From Rs 5 To Rs 5000

Vlogger Cassy Pereira recently embarked on a special journey to explore idlis in four different prices, ranging from Rs 5 to Rs 5,000. His idli-tasting spree has taken social media by storm, with his Instagram reel getting 3.3 million views, 140k likes, and 82.8k shares.

His first stop was a small roadside shop where he tried a Rs 5 idli with two chutneys. He seemed to be very impressed with the idli and rated it 9.7 out of 10.

Next, he visited the popular Rameshwaram cafe and ordered a plate of idli which costed Rs 50. He was served with 2 idlis with tomato chutney, coconut chutney and sambar. The vlogged mentioned that the taste was 'mid' and gave it a rating of 7.2 out of 10.

The third destination was the luxurious Taj Hotel in the vlog, where he donned a blue suit just to look presentable. Here, he tried the Rs 500 idli which was listed on the menu for Rs 475. Despite the elegant setting and impressive plating, the vlogger gave a disappointing 4.2 rating out of 10 for the taste.

The vlogger's last stop was a grand location, which he described as resembling a majestic palace. Here, he tried the Rs 5000 idli which was topped with 23 carat edible gold. However, the extravagance didn't do justice to the taste. Cassy took just a single bite of the idli and did not even give any rating. Clearly unimpressed with the taste, he left the rest untouched.
