In the video circulating on social media, Rahul Gandhi can be seen wearing ski goggles with his sister Priyanka Gandhi enjoying the snowmobile ride through the white landscape, with others riding as pillion.

Rahul was spotted skiing the white snow-covered slopes in Gulmarg. He was on a two-day personal trip to the J&K. Gandhi is on a personal visit and would likely attend a private celebration in the valley, PTI reported citing sources in the Pradesh Congress Committee. The details of his programme were not revealed by the sources, it stated.

Many have described this as "a perfect vacation after the successful Bharat Jodo Yatra."

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi also chaired a meeting and interaction between the party leaders in Kashmir. He hit out at the BJP for the ongoing anti-encroachment eviction drive in the Union Territory.

Commenting further on the matter, Rahul described it as a deliberate move at the behest of the BJP to distract citizens' attention from the real matters that affect them.

Gandhi informed the party leaders about his future plans to keep visiting Jammu and Kashmir. He added that he feels the pain and anguish of residents of the Union Territory. He added that he will not leave any stone unturned to make sure that the people of J&K get justice.

Gandhi, who ended his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar about two weeks ago, paused for a brief moment in Tangmarg town while on his route to Gulmarg skiing resort, 52 kilometres from Srinagar. The details of his programme were not revealed to many people.

Earlier, Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah was asked about the possibility of former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi becoming the prime ministerial candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections following his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said it would be known after the upcoming three Assembly elections.

In an interview with the news agency ANI, which aired on Tuesday (February 14, 2023), Shah stated that the impact of Rahul Gandhi's 145-day foot march from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar will be seen after the elections in Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya this month.
