Karwa Chauth — 'Chand Nikal Aaya, Biwi Ko Vrat Kholna Hai': Delhi Man Dials Police To Clear Traffic
The man was stuck in a massive traffic jam near the Samalkha flyover in Delhi when he made the call to Kapashera police station.
On Karwa Chauth night, the Kapashera police station in Delhi received a PCR call from a man with a unique request. The man, stuck in a massive traffic jam, sought police assistance to clear the congestion so that he could reach home quickly as the Moon had risen and his wife needed to break her fast.
"Chand nikal aaya. Caller ko ghar jaana hai, traffic jam hai," the man told police. A description of the complaint was shared by Aaj Tak.
The man was stuck near the Samalkha flyover. Two police personnel were later sent to the spot to clear the traffic.
On 'Karwa Chauth', Hindu women observe a day-long fast from sunrise till the moon appears on the sky for good health and longevity of their husbands. The women avoid water and any food during this period. In the evening, when the Moon comes out, women dress in traditional red-coloured clothes and break their fast after looking at the Moon and their husbands.
