Influencer Who Married Herself Dies By Suicide At 26, Left Tragic Message On Social Media

Fans took to social media to express their grief and pay tributes to Aykut. They remember her as "an angel".

Tiktok influencer Kubra Aykut, who set waves when she got married to herself, has tragically died after falling from the fifth floor of a luxury apartment building at the age of 26 in Istanbul. Police have found a suicide note at her apartment that was reportedly left behind by her, The Sun reported.

Just hours before her death, Akyutm also left a tragic message on social media about her weight gain journey. "I've gathered my energy, but I can't seem to gain weight. I lose a kilogram every day. I don't know what to do; I urgently need to gain weight," she wrote in her last post. She shot to fame on social media after she held her own wedding without a partner in 2023. "I can't find a worthy partner," she had said back then. Aykut had one million followers on TikTok and more than 200,000 on Instagram.

In her last video on TikTok, she was seen cleaning her house shortly before her fatal fall from the apartment. In 2023, she wore a white dress and a tiara and 'married' herself. "I cannot find a worthy groom for myself," she said. She also drove off in a car holding her bouquet and cheering. A clip of her eating a burger in her white dress and jokingly describing herself as a 'nervous bride' had gone viral on social media.

Fans took to social media to express their grief and pay tributes to Aykut. They remember her as "an angel" with "a beautiful heart." An inquiry has begun after her funeral service was held in her hometown.
