An effigy of the demon king Ravan erupted with a powerful explosion during a Dussehra event on Saturday, drawing comparisons to a "nuclear test." The dramatic moment captured on video quickly went viral on social media. 

The viral footage shared on social media platform X, shows the towering effigy, part of the traditional Ravan Dahan ritual, bursting into flames with a massive explosion. Spectators had gathered, phones in hand, to record the event.

However, shortly after it was ignited, an unexpected blast occurred, sending a mushroom-shaped cloud into the sky, resembling a nuclear detonation. The explosion triggered panic, causing people in the crowd to scramble and flee for safety.
