'Multi-Purpose Indian Railways': Couple Gets Married Inside Train, Video Goes Viral

The video, which was likely shot inside a Bengal-Jharkhand train, has gone viral and triggered hilarious reactions from netziens.

Forget looking for a perfect location for your wedding, when you can get married "on the move". In a bizarre incident, a man exchanged vows with a woman onboard a moving train and passengers travelling in the coach became their guests. The video, which was likely shot inside a Bengal-Jharkhand train, has gone viral and triggered hilarious reactions from netziens.

The video shows the groom tying a mangalsutra around the woman's neck. The woman gets emotional and is then seen hugging the man. The duo then proceed to exchange varmalas (garlands) as other passengers looked on and even started making videos of the couple. After the couple finish the rituals, the passengers give a loud cheer.

While specific details about the couple and the train remain unconfirmed, multiple reports suggested that the incident took place aboard an Asansol-Jasidih train.

Netizens were quick to comment on the bizarre wedding. "Multi-purpose Indian Railways," one user said, while another commented, “Budget kam hoga, warna plane mein karte (the budget must be limited, or else they would do it on a plane).”

A third user sarcastically said, “Why make divorce such a painful process when it is so easy to get married. When a couple can get married in a moving train then why do they need to approach the court for divorce. Make Divorce as easy or as tough as Marriage.”

Another user noticed the speed of the train and wrote, "Train bhi full speed me hai."

In yet another extraordinary wedding, a 27-year-old East Delhi resident, suffering from dengue and a low platelet count, tied the knot at the hospital he was admitted in. Avinash Kumar had fallen sick merely four days before his scheduled wedding. The ceremony took place at Max Vaishali, where the groom and bride exchanged vows and garlands in front of the hospital staff and the couple’s families, a News18 report said.
