Bhojpuri Singer Breaks Down On Stage After Anchor Snatches Mic, Watch Viral Video

The singer requested the anchor to let her speak for two minutes but the anchor denied saying that they are running short of time and snatched the mic for her hand.

In a video that has gone viral, Bhojpuri singer Priyanka Singh who has sung ‘Chhalakata Hamro Jawaniya Ye Raja’ in collaboration with musician and actor Pawan Singh, broke down after she was interrupted mid-way during a live performance by the anchor Rupam Trivikram at the 'Thawe Mahotsav 2023' in Bihar.

Priyanka was performing when she was interrupted mid-way. She requested the anchor to let her speak for two minutes but the anchor denied saying that they are running short of time and went on to call one of the dignitaries on stage. She also tried to snatch the mic from the singer's hand before she started crying on stage.

"This is not true, not done right to me," the singer said while in tears.

"I am not dying to sing. You called me here to perform so you cannot disrespect me like this. The district administration is wrong. I had a very bad experience at the Thawe Festival," Priyanka further said in Hindi.

Since being shared on Twitter by @gharkekalesh, the video has gone viral and amassed 223.8k views and 1,611 likes.

"How rude is this? If u can't respect an artist, don't call him/ her at any event. Absolutely pathetic," wrote one user on seeing the video.

"This is truly an unacceptable behaviour... this monster anchor and the one who ordered her should he punished.. Insulting an artist in such a way is completely wrong..," echoed another user.

Actress Akshara Singh also took to Twitter to condemn the incident.

"These people (organisers) have forgotten that every stage has a decorum to maintain. They are making a spectacle of their influence and power to insult an artist, that to a woman," wrote the actress.
