'They Will Be Cut Into Pieces': Bengaluru Couple’s Bike Stunt Sparks 'Migrant' Debate — Video

A video of a reckless couple riding a motorcycle in Bengaluru has sparked outrage on social media. The man rode without a helmet while the woman straddled the fuel tank facing him.

The Indian youth loves to live on the edge — quite literally. Even if there are ample provisions for safety and rules to ensure no harm to commuters, there will always be people who will put their and others' lives in danger. Such an incident has come to the fore from Bengaluru, wherein a couple was spotted riding a bike dangerously.

The video of a man recklessly riding a motorcycle with a woman perched on the fuel tank, tightly hugging him, has taken social media by storm. While some found humour in the dangerous stunt, many were quick to call out the sheer disregard for road safety.

In recent months, there has been a concerning rise in young riders pulling off such perilous manoeuvres on Indian roads, putting not only their own lives but also those of other motorists at serious risk.

Reckless Riding Caught On Camera

The now-viral clip captures the man navigating a bustling city street during peak traffic — without a helmet — while the woman sits facing him straddling the bike’s fuel tank. The unsettling scene underscores the growing issue of reckless stunts on public roads, despite repeated warnings from authorities.

The video is said to have been shot on the Sarjapur Main Road. The bike, however, had a Tamil Nadu registration plate.

Traffic police across the country have frequently urged riders to follow safety norms, yet incidents like these continue to surface, fueling concerns over public safety and responsible driving.

Stunt Triggers Social Media Reactions

The stunt triggered both humorous and scathing reactions. However, what stood out was the absolute hatred pouring out against 'migrants' in Bengaluru. Several social media users, noticing the Tamil Nadu registration number on the Royal Enfield bike, said that this was why they opposed migration.

One user blamed their parents as well as the police, saying: "It is not their mistake, it is parents' mistake. Police mistake if case not filed."

Some users said that the woman looked as if she was ill or drunk. But even then an ambulance or a cab could have been used for transportation and there was no need for such a stunt.

Despite the video’s virality, Bengaluru Police have yet to issue an official response. Netizens, meanwhile, flooded social media, tagging the city’s traffic police and demanding strict action against the couple for flouting road safety rules. "The authorities should trace the vehicle, bearing the registration number TN12W4910, and take strict measures to prevent such incidents in the future. Reckless riding should not be tolerated," an X page, Karnataka Portfolio, posted.
