Union Home Minister Amit Shah To Visit Telangana Today, Will Address Rally In Chevella
Amit Shah is likely to meet some of the key members of blockbuster 'RRR' movie team during his Telangana visit, and he is expected to felicitate the film crew for winning the coveted Oscar award.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public rally at Chevella near Hyderabad on April 23, news agency PTI quoted BJP sources as saying. The Union Minister’s visit is a part of 'Parliament Prabhas Yojana' programme, they said.
According to the report, Amit Shah is likely to meet some of the key members of blockbuster 'RRR' movie team during his Telangana visit, and he is expected to felicitate the film crew for winning the coveted Oscar award.
It is to be noted that the 'Naatu Naatu' song of the 'RRR' movie won the Academy Award in the Best Original Song category at this year's event.
According to a senior BJP leader, Amit Shah always tries to meet celebrities wherever he goes and as part of that, the Union Minister earlier met actors Junior NTR and Nithin, among others during his earlier visits last year.

BJP sources further said that the saffron party will work with an increased focus in Telangana and step up its campaign once the Assembly elections are over in neighbouring Karnataka on May 10.
Notably, the political one-upmanship between the ruling BRS and BJP has reached new heights over recent times with war of words between the two parties becoming almost a daily affair.
The BJP has been leaving no stones unturned in its efforts to emerge as the alternative to the ruling BRS and the national party has also had reasonable success in a couple of Assembly by-polls and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) election during the last three years.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah visited Bengaluru earlier this week ahead of the Karnataka elections. This was the Union Home Minister’s first visit to the state after the poll schedule was announced on March 29.
