Telangana: MLC K Kavitha Sent TRS Goons To My Residence, Says BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri

Some people attacked the residence of Nizamabad BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad on Friday over his remarks on MLC Kavitha.

New Delhi: BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri on Friday alleged that the attack on his residence in Hyderabad was orchestrated by MLC K Kavitha who sent Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) workers to create a ruckus, news agency PTI reported.

"They damaged furniture and idols of God, damaged cars in front of my 70-yr-old mother. She (K Kavitha) made a lot of derogatory statements against me sheerly out of caste arrogance," said MP Arvind.

"I got a call from an old friend of my father that K Kavitha is upset with her father and has tried to contact Mallikarjun Kharge because her father was keeping her away from political activitie. So, I told this to the people of Telangana," Dharmapuri further said.

It is to be noted that some people attacked the residence of Nizamabad BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad on Friday over his remarks on MLC Kavitha Kalavkuntla, also the daughter of TRS chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

During the time of the incident, the BJP MP was at Nizamabad. TRS workers also protested in front of the BJP MP's home.

According to ABP Desam report, MP Arvind Dharmapuri on Thursday spoke against Kavitha. He said that Kavitha, the TRS MLC and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge and indicated her desire to join the party and that she got an offer from Kharge to switch sides and join Congress.

Further, Dharmapuri claimed that she made the decision because she was unhappy with her father.
