New Delhi: It is seldom seen that ministers challenge each other about making their cities better livable places and one such incident was witnessed on Monday as Telangana IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar took to their respective Twitter handles to challenge each other about the development of Hyderabad and Bengaluru respectively.
It started when Ravish Naresh, Khatabook CEO and founder of Housing.com, tweeted about poor infrastructure in India's Silicon Valley (Bengaluru) on Wednesday (March 30). Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao addressed the issues Ravish raised and wrote on his Twitter, "Pack your bags and move to Hyderabad. We have better physical infrastructure and equally good social infrastructure. Our airport is one of the best and getting in and out of the city is a breeze."
KPCC President DK Shivakumar on Monday challenged KTR and tweeted, "my friend, I accept your challenge. By the end of 2023, with Congress back in power in Karnataka, we will restore the glory of Bengaluru as India’s best city."
