Telangana MA&UD Minister KTR Inaugurates Road Over Bridge In Hyderabad
Road-over-Bridge has been constructed under the Telangana government’s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) at Rs 86 crore, near the Borabanda MMTS station.
Hyderabad: The newly constructed Road Over Bridge (ROB) at Kaithalapur in Hyderabad was inaugurated by Telangana Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday. It has been constructed under the Telangana government’s Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) at a worth of Rs 86 crore, near the Borabanda MMTS station.
It will act significantly to connect the prime areas of the city -- Kukatpally and Hitec City. This road will also relieve traffic congestion at JNTU, Malaysian Township, Hitec City flyover, and Cyber Tower intersections.

Traffic from Sanathnagar, Balanagar, and Secunderabad will be diverted to the Madhapur Main Road via Moosapet to Kaithalapur. This will reduce the distance by 3.5 kilometres, and the time it takes to travel by at least 20 minutes.
Minister KTR challenged Union Minister Kishan Reddy to build flyovers in the Secunderabad Cantonment area. He reminded that 47 projects had been undertaken in Hyderabad under phase 1 of the Strategic Road Development Scheme at the cost of Rs 8,052 crore. He said 30 of them have been made available so far. SRDP will start the second phase with Rs 3,117 crore, he added.
