Telangana Government Regularises Over 5,000 Contract Employees In 40 Departments

Finance Minister Harish Rao tweeted Government Order (GO) regularising the services of 5,544 contract employees and thanked the CM KCR for fulfilling his promise.

The Telangana government has regularized the services of more than 5,000 contract employees in 40 departments. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao signed the file on Sunday, following which Finance Minister Harish Rao tweeted the Government Order (GO) for the regularisation of 5,544 contract employees. The Chief Minister's signature fulfils his promise.

 

The contract employees whose services will be regularized include 2,909 junior lecturers, 390 polytechnic lecturers, 180 junior lecturers (vocational), 270-degree lecturers, 873 multipurpose health assistants in the Health Department, 158 pharmacists, and 179 lab technicians.

In addition, the Chief Minister signed several other files after occupying his chair in the new Secretariat. The first file pertained to the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu Scheme in 2023-24, extending its benefits to 1,100 beneficiaries each in 118 Assembly constituencies (except Huzurabad, where the scheme has already been implemented).

The Chief Minister also signed a file related to the distribution of Podu land titles, with the district-by-district distribution program scheduled to begin in May. The land titles for around 3.9 lakh acres will be given to up to 1,35,000 beneficiaries.

Another file signed by the Chief Minister pertained to the KCR Nutrition Kit for pregnant women. These kits will be distributed in all the districts of the state, benefitting 6.84 lakh pregnant women with the distribution of 13.08 lakh kits across the state.

Each KCR nutrition kit costs Rs 2,000, and the government allocated Rs 277 crore for this program. The Chief Minister also signed the file relating to the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, IT and Industries K T Rama Rao signed a file on the guidelines for distribution of double bedroom houses to one lakh people in Hyderabad city.
