"The progress of the states depend on how much electricity they consume. The installed power capacity in our country is 4,07,178 MW. The base power load is 2,42,890 MW. The highest electricity consumption in this country so far is only 2,10,793 MW. Recently this figure was recorded on June 22. That means even minimum power consumption is not consumed in our country and it is the central government's failure," said KCR.
KCR said that the Centre was acting without foresight and food security was in danger due to the Centre's policies. CM KCR expressed his anger that the Union Minister insulted farmers when we asked the Centre to buy grain.
"The central government is writing to me asking me to sell RTC. They claim to offer Rs. 1000 crores as compensation for selling RTC. The centre sells everything. The Modi government is looking to hand over power and agricultural sectors to private companies," said CM.
KCR's statement on the floor of the House comes a day after his office stated "very soon, the formation of a national party and formulation of its (national party) policies will take place." However, Monday's reference was the first from Rao himself.
