Telangana: 1 Dead, 10 Wounded After Under-Construction Church Collapses In Sangareddy

A migrant labourer was killed and ten others were injured after the slab of an under-construction church fell in Telangana's Sangareddy district on Sunday, according to authorities, news agency PTI reported. Following the disaster, those working above the iron structure slid down, while several labourers working below became caught in the debris, according to a senior police officer, who added that one of them perished.
Ten additional people who were caught under the debris and were injured were rescued and sent to a hospital, according to authorities.

According to the official, the project engineer and contractor have been detained.
When asked about allegations that the deceased migrant worker was from Myanmar, the official stated that it had yet to be confirmed.
"The incident happened at around noon today. One person died in the incident, and one of the injured persons is in serious condition," Sangareddy SP Rupesh was quoted by ANI in its report. "Eight other people sustained minor injuries in the incident, and all of them have been shifted to the hospital," he added.
Further investigation is being conducted.

Three construction workers killed and two others were injured earlier last year when a parapet wall on the sixth story of an under-construction building in Hyderabad fell, according to authorities. According to authorities, the incident occurred in the Addagutta sector of the Kukatpally Housing Board (KPHB) colony.
Santhu Badnayak (23), Saniya Challan (19), and Soniya Badnayak (23), according to police, were killed. While Santhu and Challan perished on the scene, Soniya died from her injuries while being treated at a local private hospital, according to authorities.
