More than fifty people were injured after the police resorted to lathi-charge to bring situation under control

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Hyderabad's Old City as people staged protests against BJP MLA Raja Singh for his alleged derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad. In sensitive areas, more police officers, including Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel, Greyhounds, and Reserve Police, were deployed. A flag march was organised by the RAF and local police on the Charminar-Shahali Banda road.
