PM Modi Pays Obeisance To Guru Nanak Dev At Hyderabad Gurdwara On Parkash Purab — WATCH
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited Ameerpet Gurudwara in Hyderabad on the occasion of Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to Ameerpet Gurudwara in Hyderabad on Monday to mark the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev. He also attended the Koti Deepotsavam programme in the city. On the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev's birth anniversary, PM Modi extended greetings to the people, acknowledging the significance of Guru Nanak's teachings. In a post on Twitter, he stated, "Greetings on the auspicious occasion of the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. His emphasis on serving others and furthering brotherhood gives strength to millions around the world."
Earlier, Modi also shared his tributes to the first Sikh Guru during his 'Mann Ki Baat' broadcast on Sunday, highlighting the enduring relevance of Guru Nanak's messages. "Guru Nanak's precious messages are inspiring and relevant even today, not only for India but for the whole world. They inspire people to be simple, harmonious, and dedicated towards others," the Prime Minister remarked during his monthly radio programme.
In another post, Modi extended wishes for Dev Deepavali, celebrated on Kartik Purnima, the last day of the Hindu month of Kartik. Following his Gurdwara visit, he also attended a Koti Deepotsavam programme in Hyderabad.
The Prime Minister is currently in Telangana, where he is actively campaigning for the BJP ahead of the upcoming polls on November 30.
Meanwhile, across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, devotees thronged gurdwaras to celebrate the 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism. The Golden Temple in Amritsar and other gurdwaras were illuminated, witnessing long queues of people from various faiths.

In Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar paid his obeisance at the Nada Sahib Gurdwara in Panchkula. The celebrations extended to gurdwaras in Kurukshetra, Ambala, Sirsa, Karnal, Yamunanagar, and other places. In Chandigarh, governors and chief ministers of Punjab and Haryana conveyed their greetings to the people on this auspicious occasion.
