Telangana: 5 Injured After Charminar Express Derails At Nampally Railway Station
All the injured persons in Charminar Express derailment have been admitted to the Railway Hospital.
Five people were injured after three coaches of Charminar Express derailed at the Nampally Railway Station on Wednesday. The five injured persons were standing near the train doors in the incident. All the injured have been admitted to Railway Hospital, according to ANI, quoting South Central Railways official.
According to ANI, Rakesh, CPRO, South Central Railway said, "The incident took place at around 9:15 AM. This Railway station is a terminal station where trains end. The train should have stopped before the end, however the train overshot. 3 coaches of the train got derailed in the incident. Around 5 people who stood near the doors of the train suffered minor injuries in the incident. They are being treated at the Railway Hospital.

Railway authorities were actively involved in addressing the situation, having commenced rescue and relief operations in response to the derailment of three coaches of the Charminar Express at Hyderabad Deccan railway station.
The train's ultimate stop was Hyderabad Deccan railway station. According to South Central Railway (SCR) officials, when the train approached the station, it was traveling at a reduced speed and overshot the final point, resulting in the derailment of three coaches—S2, S3, and S6.
The train had commenced its journey from Chennai on Tuesday evening and arrived in Hyderabad.
An inquiry was conducted to determine the cause of the incident, as stated by the official. Further, investigations are ongoing.
Last year, a train accident in Andhra Pradesh resulted in the death of 11 persons.
