'Baithiye Na...Chaliye Na': KCR-Nitish Kumar Awkward Moment After 'PM Candidate' Question Goes Viral

When PM Candidate question was posed to both the leaders, a difference of opinion could be seen as Nitish Kumar, stood up and wanted to leave while KCR was pleasing him to sit

With Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar addressing a press conference, served a viral moment when the former answered about the PM candidate for the anti-BJP front. KCR, who was on a one-day visit to Bihar, was asked whether he would back Nitish Kumar as PM candidate for 2024 General Elections.

When both the leaders were posed the question, a difference of opinion could be seen as Nitish Kumar, stood up and wanted to leave while KCR was pleasing him to sit. As soon as the Bihar CM stood up, "Aap baithiye na (please sit)," KCR, pleaded while Nitish Kumar insisted, "Aap chaliye na (let's go)."

After the viral moment, BJP took a dig at both the leaders, as BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted, "Did KCR travel to Patna to get insulted like this? Nitish Kumar didn’t even accord him the basic courtesy of completing his point in a press interaction. Nitish was dismissive of KCR’s pleas to let him finish. But then that is Nitish Kumar. Self conceited. KCR asked for it…"

Meanwhile, BJP Rajya Sabha MP, Sushil Modi told news agency ANI, "KCR didn't even accept Nitish Kumar as a PM candidate & outrightly denied it. Nitish Kumar tried to walk out of a presser when they (Nitish Kumar & KCR) were asked about it though KCR tried to make him sit many times."

Besides, KCR in his tour to Patna, where he met top political leaders in Bihar, gave a call for “BJP mukt Bharat”. At a press conference that he addressed with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav by his side, KCR invoked the memory of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan's “Kranti” (revolution) against “tanashahi” (dictatorship) to stress the need for a united opposition to take on the BJP's hegemony.
