Nitish Kumar Will Not Be Able To Become PM, Both KCR & Bihar CM Have Lost Public Trust: Sushil Modi

Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi claimed that both KCR and Nitish Kumar had lost the trust of the people. Both were going to lose their Chief Ministerial posts, the former deputy CM said.

New Delhi: Former deputy chief minister of Bihar and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday hit out at Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar over their joint press conference. He claimed that both leaders were facing a crisis of public support to save their posts.

"KCR should first try to save his CM post in 2023 then think about 2024," Sushil Modi said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

Sushil Modi claimed that Telangana Chief Minister's party had lost its support base as it faced defeat in two byelections to the BJP.

In such a situation, he should think about retaining his position as Chief Minister post, the Bihar leader said as he also speculated that KCR seemed to be on shaky grounds and was unlikely to survive the upcoming 2023 Assembly election.
