Google Pay Gets UPI LITE
In a bid to make digital payments fast with a click and without needing to enter the UPI PIN, Google Pay on Thursday rolled out UPI LITE feature on its platform. With UPI LITE, users can make fast transactions even during peak hours. It is said to have a higher success rate as compared to conventional UPI payments. PhonePe and Paytm already support UPI LITE feature.
The UPI LITE account is linked to the user’s bank account but does not rely in real-time on the issuing bank’s core banking system. Due to this innovation by the ecosystem, UPI LITE on Google Pay is said to have a higher success rate even during peak transaction hours. The UPI LITE account can be loaded with up to Rs 2,000 twice a day and allows users to make UPI transactions of up to Rs 200. Using UPI Lite, also results in a less cluttered bank passbook with fewer transaction details.
Board Of Tata Sons Visits Bengaluru Ahead Of Chip Manufacturing
Tata Sons, last week took its board to familiarise them with the outlet at Tata Electronics that is expected to be the primary chipset-making vehicle. The firm's entire board, including Ajay Piramal and Venu Srinivasan were taken to Hosur and Bengaluru to take a stock of the facilities, said a report by The Economic Times (ET). The entire Tata Sons' brass was hosted in a board meeting where the company chairperson N Chandrasekaran held talks on the future growth plans, the ET report added, citing sources familiar with the development. The company's board of directors who were present include Leo Puri, Harish Manwani, Vijay SIngh, Srinivasan, Anita George, Saurabh Agarwal, Bhaskar Bhat and Piramal.
OnePlus 12's First Look Leaked
While OnePlus is said to be weeks away from the launch of its first foldable device, the purported OnePlus V Fold, leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 12 have already started to surface. According to initial leaks about the OnePlus 12, the smartphone is likely to get a big upgrade in the camera department and get a periscope camera. As per the leaked renders by SmartPrix in collaboration with OnLeaks, four images of the OnePlus 12 have surfaced. The leaked renders show OnePlus 12 in black colour with a glossy back. OnePlus will most likely release more colour options at the time of launch, which is still not clear.
