Motorola Appoints TM Narasimhan As MD, Mobile Business Group India
Motorola on Wednesday appointed TM Narasimhan as the Managing Director (MD) for mobile business group India. Narasimhan has been appointed to lead the India business and he will be reporting to Prashanth Mani who will continue to be the head of Motorola’s Asia Pacific business. Narasimhan comes with extensive experience in sales operations, business and financial planning and P&L management, having held various roles in FMCG, and consumer tech brands like PepsiCo, Britannia and Samsung.
Itel A70 Launched In India
Following multiple leaks and teasers, Itel India has introduced is Itel A70 smartphone, which is being marketed as a "Truly Awesome" device. This smartphone claims to be India's first device with 12GB RAM (4GB RAM + 8GB virtual RAM) and 256GB memory, priced under Rs 7,500. Fueled by a T603 octa-core processor and running on itel OS 13 system, based on Android 13 (Go edition), the phone assures a smooth user experience. The inclusion of Smart Link+ technology is said to reduce latency by 20 per cent and enhance signal stability, particularly in regions with weak connections.
Ex-Google Employee Nikesh Arora Becomes Billionaire
Nikesh Arora, a former SoftBank executive and current CEO of cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks, has joined the ranks of billionaires, following a substantial payout from the company. Initially granted a $125 million stock and options compensation package upon joining in 2018, the company's soaring share price has since quadrupled, elevating Arora's stake to a current value of $830 million ($1.1 billion Singapore dollars), as reported by news agency Bloomberg. During his tenure at Google in 2012, his compensation package amounted to around $51 million, with subsequent stock awards reaching at least $200 million by his departure.
