After Ray-Ban, Meta Now Brings AI Smart Glasses With Oakley: Check Out Price

Meta and Oakley are launching AI-powered Oakley Meta HSTN performance glasses, following Meta's Ray-Ban success.

Meta and Oakley have teamed up to launch a new category of AI-enabled performance glasses. The collaboration comes after Meta has sold more than two million pairs of AI-powered Ray-Ban smart glasses.

The Oakley Meta HSTN (pronounced “HOW-stuhn”), a limited-edition product is tailored for both athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Performance Specs

The glasses feature a built-in camera that allows for completely hands-free content capture, offering wearers the ability to share their point of view in real-time. Enhanced open-ear speakers are discreetly embedded into the frames, making it possible to listen to music or podcasts while remaining aware of the environment—a critical feature for athletes in motion. The glasses also carry an IPX4 water resistance rating, supporting usage in various weather conditions.

Designed to do more than just record and play media, Oakley Meta HSTN includes a range of AI-driven features. At the core is Meta AI, a personal assistant embedded into the glasses.

With voice activation, users can issue commands like “Hey Meta, take a video,” making it easier to document moments without pausing activity. This hands-free functionality is tailored for athletes who want to stay in the zone while capturing highlights or getting quick
updates.

Battery Life

The Oakley Meta HSTN comes with an enhanced battery performance. On a full charge, the Oakley Meta HSTN can run for up to eight hours during typical use and remain on standby for up to 19 hours. A rapid-charging option powers the glasses up to 50% in just 20 minutes, while a companion charging case offers up to 48 hours of additional usage.

The on-board camera boasts Ultra HD (3K) video capability, allowing for high-resolution recordings that preserve the detail and energy of every movement.

Availability And Pricing

The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses will be available for preorder starting July 11, with the limited-edition model priced at $499 (approximately INR 43,000). Additional models from the collection will be released later this summer, starting at $399 (around Rs 34,000).

Initial availability includes major markets such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and several Nordic countries. Plans are underway to introduce the glasses in Mexico, India, and the UAE before the end of the year.
