Maha Kumbh 2025: Cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be deployed to monitor and track the movements of devotees throughout the festival.

Maha Kumbh 2025: Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to host one of the grandest festivals in the country, the ‘Maha Kumbh,’ scheduled to take place in 2025. The event is set to commence on January 13, 2025, and will continue until February 26, 2025, in the sacred city of Prayagraj. Known for its rich spiritual and cultural significance, the Maha Kumbh attracts millions of devotees from across India and the world. This tradition, deeply rooted in history, sees lakhs of pilgrims gathering to take a holy dip in the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, seeking spiritual cleansing and blessings.

However, the massive crowds often bring challenges, particularly the distressing issue of people getting separated from their families amidst the sea of devotees. To address this recurring concern, the administration has devised a novel solution for Maha Kumbh 2025. According to media reports, cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be deployed to monitor and track the movements of attendees throughout the festival.

This AI system aims to quickly reunite individuals who may become separated from their loved ones, ensuring their safety and well-being. By leveraging AI, the authorities hope to streamline efforts and provide timely assistance, showcasing how technology can play a pivotal role in supporting human endeavors and enhancing the overall experience of this monumental event.

How Will AI Help You Find Lost Family Members?

Advanced AI-powered cameras have been strategically installed at various locations to monitor the massive crowds during the Maha Kumbh festival. According to media reports, a computerised "Lost and Found" center has been established to assist families in locating missing individuals during the event. If someone goes missing in the fair, their family members can file a report at these designated complaint centers.

As per the reports, once the necessary details are provided, artificial intelligence will generate a digital image of the missing individual. A total of 10 such centers have been set up across the Maha Kumbh premises to ensure comprehensive coverage and timely assistance. Additionally, a dedicated helpline number, 1920, has been launched to provide an easy point of contact for those seeking help in locating their loved ones. This initiative aims to make the festival safer and more organised for the millions of attendees.
