iOS 18 Beta 2 Update: iPhone Mirroring & SharePlay Screen Sharing To Arrive In iOS Devices Tomorrow

Apart from the arrival of these new features, iOS 18 Beta 2 update will also fic some bugs and make tweaks to other new features. 

Apple has recently confirmed that the upcoming iOS 18 Beta 2 will be accessible to users from Monday. This is exactly two weeks after the announcement of iOS 18 at the Apple WWDC 2024. The iPhone maker has confirmed that users will get two new features in the iOS 18 Beta 2 update, namely- iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing. We already know that Apple announced a number of features for iOS 18, however, many of them are not yet available in the Beta version. It seems like Apple is holding some features or rolling them out slowly in a phased manner.

As per reports, some of the features which were announced won't be ready till the end of this year. The remaining features are expected to be added through the beta testing process.

What All Will Be There In iOS 18 Beta 2 Update?

The first feature that will arrive in the iOS devices after this update is the iPhone Mirroring feature. This upcoming feature will let users mirror their iPhone's display to that on their Mac. This will let users interact with their iPhones, receive iPhone notifications on their Mac, and seamlessly drag and drop between their Mac and iPhone, without even having to physically unlock their iPhone's screen.

The second feature which is set to arrive is the SharePlay screen sharing. This feature will let you draw on someone’s screen so they can see what they can do on theirs, or control their screen and take actions themselves.

Apart from the arrival of these new features, iOS 18 Beta 2 update will also fic some bugs and make tweaks to other new features. 

Apple Intelligence & iOS 18 Features To Not Be Available In EU?

Apple also announced that Apple Intelligence and other iOS 18 features won’t be available in the EU this year due to the imposing of the DMA.

According to a report by the Verge, Apple Spokesperson, Fred Sainz confirmed that iOS 18 Beta 2 will arrive next week, and it will add iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing.
