This feature of the app allows users to make their account safer than before. However, the burning question is how to enable this feature on the account. Secure your WhatsApp account

Users can further strengthen the security of their WhatsApp data by enabling WhatsApp's two-step verification feature to their account. Once this feature is activated, you'll need a 6 digit passcode to log in to your WhatsApp account when the phone resets or if the SIM is changed.

Steps to enable WhatsApp's Two-step verification:

  • To enable two-step verification in WhatsApp, you need to open the app first.
  • After opening the app, go to its settings and tap Account.
  • Here you will see the option of Two-step verification.
  • Now Enable this option.
  • You will then need to enter a 6 digit PIN.
  • You will now be asked to confirm the pin you entered before.
  • After doing so, an email address would need to be added.
  • If you forget the PIN, you can use this mail to gain access to your WhatsApp account.
  • You have a choice, to skip adding your email address if you want.
  • After doing so, you have now activated Two-Step verification on your WhatsApp account.
