Western Digital Launches 6TB Portable HDDs In India: Specs, Prices, More

Western Digital's new 6TB portable HDDs are priced at Rs 15,499 for the WD My Passport, Rs 15,999 for the USB-C variant, Rs 15,299 for the WD Elements, and Rs 20,999 for SanDisk Professional G-Drive ArmorATD.

Western Digital on Thursday, July 25, launched new high-capacity portable hard drives to its product lineup in India. The company now offers 6TB models across its WD, WD_BLACK, and SanDisk Professional brands, setting a new benchmark for storage in 2.5-inch portable HDDs. Among the new offerings is the WD My Passport Portable HDD, which now comes in a 6TB variant.

This storage option is particularly suitable for travellers and outdoor enthusiasts who require substantial space for backing up their data while on the move. These additions to Western Digital's portable storage solutions provide users with unprecedented capacity in a compact form factor, catering to the growing demand for larger, more portable storage options in the market.
