Vivo X100s Launching Soon? Key Specs And Colour Options Tipped

The handset is anticipated to be available in four unique colour variants.

Earlier in January, Vivo had introduced the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro models in India, both equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is now said to expand its X100 lineup with the launch of the Vivo X100s. While there is no official announcement from Vivo, a notable tipster has leaked details about the colour choices and specifications of the purported Vivo X100s.

The handset is anticipated to be available in four unique colour variants: black, cyan, white and titanium, and might feature the Dimensity 9300 SoC from MediaTek. The Vivo X100s is speculated to serve as the successor to the Vivo X90s.

According to famed tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Vivo X100s is said to sport a flat metal frame and a glass rear panel. Its display is expected to maintain support for 1.5K resolution, similar to its predecessor. Additionally, the forthcoming Vivo X100s might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC fabricated on a 4nm process.

The same tipster recently suggested that the Vivo X100s might feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, which is rumored to be an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 9300 chipset. Furthermore, the Vivo X100s could potentially showcase a flat OLED FHD+ display and house a 5,000mAh battery.

Anticipated to bring improvements over its predecessor, the Vivo X100s is poised to succeed last year's Vivo X90s. The latter debuted in China in June last year, priced at CNY 3,999 (which is roughly Rs 45,300) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

Notably, Vivo X90s boasts a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,260x2,800 pixels) AMOLED display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX663 primary sensor, while the front houses a 32-megapixel sensor. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging.

To recall, Vivo had launched the Vivo X100 Pro and Vivo X100 (read our detailed review here) in India, priced starting from Rs 89,999 and Rs 63,999, respectively. Both models feature MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 SoC and sport triple rear cameras. They boast curved 6.78-inch 8 LTPO AMOLED displays with refresh rates of up to 120Hz.
