Galaxy Unpacked 2023: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Now Official

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 lineup will hit the shelves starting August 11.

Samsung has introduced its latest series of tablet offerings — Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra — at its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday. Designed for outdoor usage, Samsung claims that the new tablets will allow you to use S Pen to write, draw, or scribble underwater.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 comes in two RAM+storage options — 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB — with prices starting at $799. The Galaxy Tab S9+ comes in two variants as well — 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB — with prices starting at $999. Lastly, The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra comes in three models — 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB — with prices starting at $1,199. All the aforementioned models support external memory expansion (up to 1TB) via microSD cards.

The Galaxy Tab S9 lineup comes in two colour options — Beige and Graphite.

The Galaxy Tab S9 will be up for pre-orders starting July 26, and will hit the shelves starting August 11.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series features Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays that is claimed to deliver exceptional viewing and entertainment experiences. While Galaxy Tab S9 sports an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X (60-120Hz) screen, the Galaxy Tab S9+ features a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X (60-120Hz) display. Lastly, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra comes with a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X (60-120Hz) screen.

The tablets are equipped with HDR10+ technology, ensuring stunning colours and brightness for a superior visual experience. The dynamic refresh rate automatically adjusts from 60 to 120Hz, balancing smooth responsiveness and battery efficiency. Eye Comfort reduces eye strain with a significant reduction in blue light, enhancing image clarity for various tasks, including photography, blueprints, and animations.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series boasts an exceptional audio experience with 20 per cent larger quad speakers, offering sound by AKG and Dolby Atmos immersive sound. Vision Booster technology adapts to bright lighting conditions, ensuring vivid screen visuals even outdoors. Additionally, the Smart Book Cover allows hands-free viewing in both portrait and landscape orientations.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, making it lightning-fast and perfect for gaming and video editing. The tablets are optimised for large-screen gaming experiences through collaboration with top gaming partners. The vapour chamber technology and two-way heat dissipation enhance heat management and sustain peak performance during extended usage.

Every Galaxy Tab S9 device comes with an IP68-rated Galaxy S Pen, offering water and dust resistance, and facilitating creativity and productivity in various environments. The S Pen Creator Edition provides a premium experience with a comfortable grip and improved tilt angle for intuitive use.

The tablets' Multi Window feature allows up to three apps to be displayed simultaneously, enabling seamless multitasking. The Book Cover Keyboard and DeX Mode simulate a desktop experience, offering maximum portability with the feel of a lightweight PC. Partner apps, such as GoodNotes, LumaFusion, and ArcSite, enhance creativity and productivity.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series seamlessly integrates into the Galaxy ecosystem, allowing effortless connectivity and sharing between devices. The tablets feature the iconic Galaxy design, slim and durable, with Armor Aluminum reinforcement. The Outdoor Cover provides additional protection for users on the go.

In terms of optics, the Tab S9 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide selfie snapper. The Tab S9+ doesn't offer a front camera but offers dual rear sensors (13-megapixel main and 8-megapixel ultrawide). Lastly, the Tab S9 Ultra features two cameras at the front (12-megapixel main and 12-megapixel ultrawide) and none on the back.

The Galaxy Tab S9 packs an 8,400mAh battery. The Tab S9+ sports a 10,090mAh battery. The Tab S9 Ultra packs an 11,200mAh battery. 

Running Android 13 out-of-the-box, the tablets come with on-display fingerprint scanners and support 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth v5.3.
