Samsung Galaxy S23 FE May Be Launching Later This Year. Know Everything

The company did not launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to the global chipset crisis in 2022.

While it is known that the Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) lineup from Samsung comprises the upper-mid-range segment of smartphones, the company may be working to introduce the Galaxy S23 FE later this year. The company did not launch the Galaxy S22 FE due to the global chipset crisis in 2022, but this year, it may refresh its Galaxy FE series, the media has reported.

According to a report by a Korean publication named Daily Hankooki, the South Korean tech giant is likely to unveil the Galaxy S23 FE in August or September of 2023. The report added that Samsung may not launch the Galaxy A74 and will instead focus more on the sale of the Galaxy S23 FE.

The Galaxy S23 FE will be a toned-down version of the iPhone rivalling flagship Galaxy S23 series that was launched a few days ago. However, the true competitor to the Galaxy S23 line would be the Apple iPhone 15 line, which is expected to be unveiled this fall. Depending on the pricing and specs, the Galaxy S23 FE would compete with the newly launched OnePlus 11R which was unveiled alongside the OnePlus 11 in India.

To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE that was launched in September 2020 was the first model in the Galaxy FE series, which was followed by the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE that was launched in January 2022.

There is a 200MP 200MP ISOCELL HP2 proprietary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, coupled with 12MP ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto sensors. All the S23 series models feature the same 12MP selfie shooter.

Samsung has also added Astro Hyperlapse feature in the lineup that would let users shoot astro hyper-lapse videos without additional equipment. The company has also added support for 360-degree audio recording for videos with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
