Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra To Come With Crash Detection Feature? Here's What We Know So Far

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could prove to be a headache to Apple or Google devices if it does come with crash detection.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Leaks: Flagship smartphones are increasingly focusing on safety features, with devices like the iPhone 16 and Google Pixel 9 leading the charge. One standout feature of these devices is car crash detection, a tool designed to alert authorities during emergencies. While this has become standard on Apple and Google devices, Samsung's Galaxy series has yet to adopt it — until now, perhaps.

What We Know About Galaxy S25 Ultra's New Sensor

A recent report from Android Authority suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might include a car crash detection sensor. This sensor reportedly mirrors the technology found in the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, the feature hasn't been activated in any Samsung device so far. According to the report, there’s no visible user interface or resources in the software for this sensor, indicating the feature is still in development.

However, the report admitted that the feature is nowhere to be seen on Settings and could be a work in progress. So, as is the case with all other Galaxy S25 leaks, consider this report with a pinch of salt.

Safety is a critical factor in modern smartphones, especially in premium models that come with hefty price tags. With competitors like Google and Apple already incorporating car crash detection into their devices, Samsung seems poised to catch up. The inclusion of such a feature in the Galaxy S25 series would not only elevate its safety profile but also make it a more compelling option for consumers.

Car crash detection isn't just a gimmick — it’s a life-saving tool. In a country like India, where road accidents claim thousands of lives annually, a feature that can automatically notify emergency services during a crash could prove invaluable. If implemented effectively, it could make a significant difference in saving lives.
