Samsung Galaxy S23 FE May Be Launching Sooner Than Expected

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the next iteration in Galaxy S Fan Edition (FE) series is likely to happen later this year and its camera and battery specifications have surfaced. The Galaxy S23 FE with model number SM-S711 may arrive with a 50MP camera and Samsung's in-house Exynos 2200 chipset. The Galaxy S23 FE will be a successor to the Galaxy S21 FE that was unveiled two years back. Samsung had skipped the launch of the Galaxy S22 FE edition due to the global chipset crisis, reports suggested.
The battery of the Galaxy S23 FE has reportedly cleared the SafetyKorea certification. According to a listing spotted by GalaxyClub the Galaxy S23 FE's model number EB-BS711ABY. It should be noted that the battery certification does not reveal the battery capacity of the device. Leaks and rumours suggest that the device might come with a 4,500mAh battery.

It is known that the Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) lineup from Samsung comprises the upper-mid-range segment of smartphones.
According to a previous GalaxyClub report, the 50MP camera on the Galaxy S23 FE could be the same as the one used on last year's Galaxy S22 and this year's Galaxy S23. It is not yet clear if there would be any upgrade in the selfie camera of the Galaxy S23 FE. To recall, the Galaxy S21 FE was launched with a 32MP selfie camera and the S22 and S23 were unveiled with 10MP and 12MP cameras, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is likely to come with a 4,500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It is likely to rival the likes of smartphones such as OnePlus 11R, Google Pixel 7 and Galaxy A54 5G.
A previous leak had suggested that Samsung is mulling to launch the Galaxy S23 FE likely in the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year. Sam Mobile had reported that Samsung may ditch Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets for the S23 FE model and opt for its in-house Exynos 2200 chip in all markets, including the US. The Galaxy S22 series was powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC in Europe and it was Samsung’s first chip with an AMD GPU and was a mess, the report added.
To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE that was launched in September 2020 was the first model in the Galaxy FE series, which was followed by the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE that was launched in January 2022.
