One Plus 9 And OnePlus 9 Pro Start Getting Stable Oxygen OS 12 Update
Some new design elements, textures, and animations will be introduced by the new Oxygen OS 12 update. It is "a design inspired by brand-new materials and uniting lights and layers."
New Delhi: One Plus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are set to receive the Oxygen OS 12 update based around Android 12. According to reports, the stable update was successfully pulled on a US Unlocked variant of the OnePlus 9 Pro and could be installed without any trouble. Most regions across the globe, including India, can download it.
The update brings new changes, which has been recently Oppo-fied. Despite the recent merging of Oppo's Color OS team with OnePlus, the UI keeps the Oxygen OS. Some new design elements, textures, and animations will be introduced by the new update. According to OnePlus, this is "a design inspired by brand-new materials and uniting lights and layers."
More Shelf Card styles are available, along with three new cards: Earphone Control Card, OnePlus Scout (universal search), and a OnePlus Watch Card for keeping track of fitness statistics.
The update introduces a feature to maintain a work-life balance. Using the Quick setting, one can switch between Work and Life modes. Specific notification settings can be used to customise each mode, which can be triggered by location, Wi-Fi network, or time.
A pinch-to-zoom feature is also available, enabling users to scroll through thumbnails in the Gallery. Canvas Always On-Display is updated with new styles and colours. One can also perform a granular control of the colours and appearance.
However, some have reported signal loss issues after the update. Surprisingly, OnePlus has not officially posted about the update on its OnePlus forums.
