Oppo Tipped To Be Working On Smartphone Batteries With Capacity Up To 7,000mAh

Oppo is reportedly developing three smartphones with the first's battery capacity being 6,285mAh battery (6,400mAh typical), and the second's capacity being 6,850mAh battery (7,000mAh typical).

The battery backup of smartphones is something that matters a lot especially if you can't always stay inside the house. Imagine such a scenarion when you're having a long day and your phone dies on you. You wouldn't even have to imagine, most probably you must have faced this situation at least once in your lives. This is the reason why some smartphone manufacturers focus a lot on battery and it seems like Oppo is now here to build a name for itself in the same segment.

Oppo is reportedly developing three smartphone models that are set to feature significantly large batteries by modern standards. As 2024 has seen the emergence of smartphones with 6,000mAh batteries and advancements like silicon-carbon battery technology, a tipster has revealed that Oppo is working on two devices with battery capacities reaching up to 7,000mAh. Additionally, recent leaks indicate that another brand might introduce a smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery as early as next month.

Oppo's Bigger Batteries

According to information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) on Weibo, Oppo is developing several high-performance smartphones with significantly larger batteries than its current flagship models. The leak mentions three devices in the pipeline, each featuring higher battery capacities. One of these models is expected to have a 6,285mAh battery (6,400mAh typical), while another is rumored to include a larger 6,850mAh battery (7,000mAh typical), with both supporting 80W fast charging.

The third device reportedly features a dual-cell 6,140mAh battery (6,300mAh typical) and could offer 100W charging support. Though slightly smaller in capacity compared to the other two, this handset may prioritize faster charging speeds. Additionally, a separate report hints that a smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery might launch in December. Realme, for instance, is set to unveil the Realme Neo 7 on December 11, rumored to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip and a 7,000mAh battery.

Oppo has yet to confirm any details about these devices, so the claims should be approached with caution. However, given the tipster's reliable track record for revealing information about unreleased smartphones, further updates on these models may surface in the coming months.
