Handset maker OnePlus is working to unveil its latest smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 2, which is promising an impressive battery life of up to 100 hours. The smartwatch will be available in sleek black and elegant silver, the company has teased further details, which will be revealed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona on Sunday, February 25.

Notably, the OnePlus Watch 2 will mark the entry of the brand into the smartwatch segment after a hiatus of three years.

The handset maker on Tuesday said: "Dubbed 'Your Partner in Time', the OnePlus Watch 2 is a wearable that doesn't just aim to keep up with you -- it aims to enhance every moment. With the 'Never Settle' philosophy woven into its very fabric, the Watch 2 promises unparalleled reliability for everyday use and meticulous health monitoring.

Flagship Killer Intends To Be 'Ecosystem Builder' Now

"After a three-year hiatus and a reflective pause following the OnePlus Watch 1, the Watch 2 re-emerged, and we are more confident than ever about this product. This confidence is not unfounded, it's built on a foundation of substantial advancements in our technological ecosystem and capabilities. Watch 2 indicates our determination to transform from 'Flagship Killer' to 'Ecosystem builder'. It will provide you with experience that's not just improved, but transformed," Kinder Liu, COO and President of OnePlus, said in a statement.

Recognising the integral role a smartwatch plays in the wearer's daily life, OnePlus has prioritised battery longevity. Incorporating community inputs, OnePlus has redesigned the OnePlus Watch 2 to ensure good user experience. With a "Smart Mode" battery life of up to 100 hours, it aims to establish a new benchmark in the industry, ensuring uninterrupted synchronisation with a wearer's lifestyle.

OnePlus Watch 2 Specs And Features (Expected)

According to previous rumours and leaks, the OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to boast a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, an increase from the previous 1.39-inch screen on The original OnePlus Watch. The smartwatch is anticipated to maintain its circular dial, metal casing, and two side buttons, along with a speaker grille for Bluetooth calling, as indicated by the already leaked renders.
