iQOO 12 5G India Launch Date Confirmed. To Go On Sale Via Amazon.in

After the official reveal, the iQOO 12 will be available for purchase on Amazon.in.

The official launch date for the iQOO 12 5G in India has been confirmed. The handset, the first one in India to sport the latest top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, will be launched on December 12. The successor to the iQOO 11 will be unveiled soon, and it is set to be available on e-commerce platform Amazon India, the company has said. While there are rumours about an iQOO 12 Pro model, but its release in India seems unlikey.

The iQOO 12 5G's India launch is set for December 12, as per a poster image shared by the handset maker. The image offers a glimpse of the rear camera design language, aligning with previously leaked renders and live images. Furthermore, the poster unveils a special edition model in collaboration with BMW Motorsport, reminiscent of the iQOO 11 Legend model. After the official reveal, the iQOO 12 will be available for purchase on Amazon.in.

GSMArena has posted the Geekbench performance of the iQOO 12 Pro variant with Android 14 OS and 16 GB RAM. It achieved a score of 2,235 in single-core and 6,912 in multi-core. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 comprises a single Cortex-X4 core reaching up to 3.30 GHz, five Cortex-A720s - three operating at 3.15 GHz and two at 2.96 GHz - along with two Cortex-A520s at 2.27 GHz.

The Vivo sub-brand's next device is said to pack in specs such as 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate, a triple camera set up with a 50MP primary sensor and 64MP telephoto sensor along with with 3x optical and 100x space zoom, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W charging.

The Xiaomi 14 series, comprising the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have already debuted at an event in China with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. These phones are the first ones to come with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and Xiaomi's new HyperOS, which is replacing MIUI that was around for more than a decade. But, there is no official word on the launch of the the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro in India as yet.

The devices sport LTPO OLED displays with 2K resolution and a Dynamic 120Hz of refresh rate, alongside Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup. With up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro also offer IP68 water and dust resistance.
