However, Google's smartwatch lineup, including the original Pixel Watch released in 2022 and its successor, the Pixel Watch 2, launched last year, have been available in a single size of 41mm. Now, a new rumour suggests that Google is gearing up to rectify this limitation with the upcoming Pixel Watch 3, slated for a probable October release globally.

According to speculation, the Google Pixel Watch 3 will introduce a larger 45mm variant, potentially expanding its appeal to users seeking a more customisable fit.

As per a recent report by 9to5Google, the highly anticipated Google Pixel Watch 3 is set to break ground by introducing a larger size option alongside the standard 41mm model. Citing sources, the report added that the forthcoming variant will boast a spacious 45mm casing, catering to users seeking a more substantial wristwear experience.

"According to a source, the bigger of the two Pixel Watch 3 units will be 45mm for what should be a significant difference on the wrist," the 9to5Google report noted.

While both Pixel Watch iterations are expected to offer identical features, speculation suggests that the larger-sized model may house a more capacious battery, promising extended usage without compromising on functionality. 

It should be noted that Pixel Watch fans have voiced their desire for a larger size option, citing concerns about the snug fit of the sole 41mm variant on wider wrists. In comparison, industry competitors like Apple and Samsung have already addressed this demand by offering a range of size variants for their smartwatches.

Notably, the Apple Watch Series 9 boasts both 41mm and 45mm options, while the Galaxy Watch 6 caters to diverse preferences with 40mm and 44mm variants. With this strategic move, Google aims to align its product offerings more closely with consumer preferences and industry standards, enhancing its competitiveness in the smartwatch market.
