Google Pixel 9 With Tensor G4 Spotted In Benchmarks, Report Reveals Its Scores

A report states that the Google Pixel 9 has been spotted in the Geekbench 5 benchmark database.

A new Google smartphone which went by the code name 'Tokay' was identified in the Geekbench 5 benchmark database, as per a recent report by MySmartPrice. This device, reportedly is the upcoming and much-awaited Pixel 9 which will feature a new chipset, potentially the Tensor G4, which is Google’s fourth-generation chipset. According to the MySmartPrice report, this device achieved a score of 1082 points in the single-core benchmark and 3121 points in the multi-core score. However, the report highlights that these scores are slightly lower than those of the current flagships such as the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

This might be surprising for some and might be disappointing for some.

Benchmark Reading Revelations

Apart from the aforementioned, the benchmark readings also provide additional insights, such as regarding the chipset which is an octa-core processor. The prime core operates at 3.10 GHz, three cores run at 2.60 GHz, and four cores function at 1.95 GHz. Additionally, this device is equipped with a Mali G715 GPU and 8GB of RAM.

Without having any concrete details about the device, it becomes challenging to predict the ultimate performance of the upcoming Tensor G4. Further information is expected to come in the next few months. There is a usual trend for Google unveiling initial details about its upcoming Pixel phones at the Google I/O event, however, whether it will occur this year or not remains uncertain.

Another news regarding Google Pixel is doing rounds in the market. The tech giant is also said to be working on the Pixel 8a and the next-generation Pixel Fold. Pixel Fold is also expected to come with the Tensor G4 chipset. It might skip the Tensor G3 chipset altogether when it is released later this year.

The new foldable smartphone might feature a narrower cover display as compared to the current Pixel Fold. The overall inner display’s aspect ratio of the smartphone may resemble a square, reminiscent of the OnePlus Open.
