Google is set to unveil its latest foldable device, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, on August 13, as part of the Pixel 9 smartphone lineup. This release marks a shift in Google's naming convention, integrating the foldable into the Pixel 9 series. Recent leaks have provided insight into the device's design, colours, and likely pricing. Now, a report by 91Mobiles, citing sources says that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to be available in two storage configurations: 256GB and 512GB.

The report added that the projected US pricing for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold models is $1,799 and $1,919, respectively. Interestingly, these figures align with the launch prices of its predecessor, suggesting Google has opted to maintain its pricing strategy for this second-generation foldable.

The device is likely to feature an 8-inch Super Actua main display and a 6.3-inch Actua cover display, both of which are reportedly larger than those found on the original Pixel Fold. Color options are said to include Obsidian and Porcelain.

In terms of features, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is expected to incorporate various AI-powered capabilities. These may include Circle to Search, Magic Editor, and Best Take. A new addition called 'Add Me' is also rumored, which could allow users to seamlessly integrate individuals into group photos using AI technology.

Notably, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is going to launch in India, marking the first time a Google foldable device will be available in that market. The pricing for the Indian market remains to be seen, especially considering the premium pricing of the US models.
